Earth First Living was formed in 1992 and is a Santa Barbara based, California public benefit 501(c)3 educational corporation. As part of our educational mission, we have been receiving grants from the California Department of Food and Agriculture (CDFA) and Strategic Growth Council to hold Technical Assistance workshops for farm, dairy and livestock operators who are seeking grant funding.
Some of our Technical Assistance workshops include: SWEEP grants (State Water Efficiency and Enhancement Program), Healthy Soil Program (HSP) grants and the Alternative Manure Management Program (AMMP) grants.
Our mission is to directly support and be a part of the growing worldwide movement towards sustainable living, and to assist in this transition by doing research into sustainability at the individual, community and global levels.
From this research we present educational workshops bringing together leading experts who are currently implementing various types of solutions relevant to farm, dairy and livestock operators of all sizes.
LIMITED SPACE AVAILABLE.
The CDFA and Strategic Growth Council have sponsored EFL to offer a 2 hour Technical Assistance workshop free of charge four times within two days. Forrist Lytehaause, Program director with EFL will present the material provided by the CDFA. Jeff Weisel will be present at each workshop to answer any field or practice questions.
During the workshop, the grant application will be reviewed and how to access and complete the application online and questions answered about your situation.
Here are a couple previously funded projects using Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund proceeds.
